Systems Designer & Programmer
I grew up loving and playing video games. Now I am driven to give back to the industry that raised me by crafting the best experiences for players today.
I was given five months to make a game that showcased a positive mental health. I created a 3D puzzle-platformer showcasing a blue jay going through the five stages of grief. I was the sole developer, focused on designing all the levels, all of the mechanics, and the implementation.
Developed in a 2-week game jam, this Foddian game (designed with difficult, unique movement controls) stars a frog named Leo saving his swamp. I led the team, designed/programmed mechanics, and created the level layout.
An evolution of the classic Pong, taking inspiration from Rocket League and top-down shooters. I designed, modeled, and developed this fictional sport in a week as a personal challenge.
A 2D platformer developed in 48 hours for a game jam. The player controls an Indiana Jones-like character exploring a cave. I was the sole developer, creating the player controller, interaction system, and level design.
A collaboration with an art student to bring his dream pet-simulation game to life. My friend created all the art, and I scoped and programmed all the desired game mechanics for the fictional pet, a 'Gooscuit'.
A personal challenge and practice exercise to create an in-depth character mechanic design document for a custom agent (Agent 27) for the tactical FPS game, Valorant.
A Google Chrome Extension that takes user-inputted text and provides a rewritten sentence without loaded language, giving a percentage score and detailed explanations for identified loaded words.
Developed as part of a software engineering course at CPP, this functional social media website includes features like profile creation/editing, text/image posts, commenting, and following functionality.
This website was developed to clearly showcase my experience as a game and software developer. It was designed to clearly present both my professional projects and my personal creative personality.
I am a third-year Computer Science student currently attending California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, based in Corona, California.
My passion is creating living, breathing worlds in video games. I love the intense nature of game jams, constantly refining my craft as a programmer, game designer and team leader.
I truly love working on games, crafting stories and experiences. This love for games led to me learning programming and game development, which led to an equal passion for creating them.
Right now, I am either studying, playing games, working out, or saving up money to go to Disneyland again.
